Gunmen, believed to be kidnappers, launched a deadly attack on Monday at the farm of a former Senator representing Kwara South, Simeon Ajibola. During the incident, the farm’s supervisor, identified as Biodun Ajibola, lost his life. The deceased was a relative of the ex-legislator.
The tragic event occurred at the farm located in Isapa, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. It is reported that Biodun Ajibola was killed while attempting to resist the hoodlums’ kidnapping attempt.
The armed men stormed the farm at around 8 am, and during the attack, they also targeted the farm supervisor’s driver, Segun Adeleye. Fortunately, the kidnappers’ plan to take the driver along with them failed as they spotted some motorcyclists approaching their location.

A family source, confirming the incident, revealed that Senator Simeon Ajibola was not present at the farm during the attack. However, it is suspected that the assailants may have intended to abduct the former Senator.
As a result of the attack, the farm supervisor lost his life, and Senator Ajibola’s driver, who was with the supervisor at the time, sustained injuries. The injured driver is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Ilorin.
The incident has caused shock and sorrow among the family and community, highlighting the increasing security challenges in the region.
