Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State has terminated the appointment of his Special Adviser on Youths, Babangida Sarki, for sharing pornographic content on his WhatsApp status.
The special adviser allegedly posted explicit homosexual material on his WhatsApp status on Sunday.
A statement released by the governor’s office on Monday appeared to confirm the incident.
In the statement, the governor’s spokesperson, Ahmed Idris, quoted the governor as expressing that Sarki’s WhatsApp post “violated the moral and social principles of Kebbi society.”

“The dismissal of the S.A. was a direct consequence of an indecent post he made on his WhatsApp status.
“The governor, who was deeply angered by this inappropriate behavior, stated that the aide had disregarded the moral and social values of Kebbi society, which is predominantly Islamic.
“Kauran Gwandu vowed that his administration would not tolerate any such acts that undermine the morality and integrity of the people of the state.
“The governor also cautioned other public officials against making such offensive posts on their social media platforms and other public forums.”
