“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” – (1 Peter 3:12)
READ: 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)
14. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us;
15. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
MESSAGE:
At times when we pray, it seems as if God cannot hear. I want to assure you today that as long as you are praying with a holy heart, God can hear every word you speak to Him.
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. – (Revelation 5:8)
These four beasts and twenty-four elders who are carrying our prayers are right there at the throne of God. Our prayers are rising up to Him. This means your prayers go straight to the throne room of God, so He hears when you pray to Him. He has probably answered you already but you are not listening, because you are so bent on getting what you want that you cannot hear Him. It could also be that your answer is on its way and the set time for it to arrive has not come yet. Whatever the reason may be, God can hear your prayers. Don’t stop praying because you think He cannot hear; He hears it all. Some of the prayers you prayed many years ago have come to pass in your life now, so pray into your future.
There is one kind of prayer I have discovered that God answers speedily. Except the answer to the prayer will not be for the good of the fellow praying, God will answer a heart cry speedily. For a long time, Hannah had been going to Shiloh and asking God for a baby but she got no answer. In (1 Samuel 1:10-13) she didn’t come just to ask, she came with a heart cry; her heart cried out to God for a miracle. The Bible says that she was talking but her voice was not heard.
Many years ago, I witnessed the circumcision of a baby boy. As his foreskin was cut, the boy screamed in pain. He cried to a point where his voice couldn’t be heard. That was a heart cry. You get to the point of sending a heart cry to heaven when you can no longer take the situation anymore. When you are still coping with the situation, your answer may be delayed, but when you decide that enough is enough and you cry to God from deep within your heart for a miracle, He cannot delay the answer to that kind of prayer.
KEY POINT:
If you are a child of God, your prayers go straight to Him. Keep praying.
