Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems, has won the Berst African Music Performance category at the 67th Recording Academy Awards.
In a historic feat, Nigerian artists appear in all of the songs nominated in the second installment of the category which first installment was won by South African star Tyla for her hit single ‘Water’.

Tems secured the award with her song Love Me JeJe. This marks Tems’ second Grammy win. South Africa’s Tyla won the award for her hit Water in 2024 in the category’s first edition.
She wards off stiff opposition from compatriots Burna Boy, Asake, and Wizkid for their joint track “MMS,” as well as Yemi Alade and the Davido and Lojay-assisted ‘Sensational’ by Chris Brown.
