The official dollar-to-naira rate at the I & E window was 755. This is because the Federal Government, FG, floated the country’s currency on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
“Treasurers were called earlier today by the CBN to tell them to start quoting the weaker rate for customers,” a source familiar with the situation said.

Some bankers who corroborated this development predicted that the rate could reach N800 by the end of today.
