At the election held on Saturday, Abba Ganduje, the son of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, failed in his attempt to unseat Abdulkadir Tijjani Jobe, the current member of the House of Representatives for the Tofa, Dawakin-Tofa, and Rimingado Federal Constituency.
Jobe, a candidate for the New Nigeria People’s Party, received 52,457 votes, while Abba, a candidate for the All Progressive Congress, received 44,809.
Jobe, though, is making his sixth trip back to the green chamber.
You may recall that Jobe, a former APC member, defected to the NNPP after a dispute with Ganduje over the party’s nomination of Ganduje’s son, Abba.
