Sen. Teslim Folarin, Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Oyo State, has stated that the party’s presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu, will receive enormous votes in the state.
Mr Kehinde Olaosebikan, Director of Public Affairs, APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo State, announced this in a statement published on Tuesday in Ibadan.
Olaosebikan cited Folarin as saying this when receiving the leadership of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Contact and Mobilisation Committee in the South-West, chaired by Alhaji Mutiu Are.
Folarin, who met the group at his Iyaganku mansion, is the APC governorship candidate in the state, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He stated that the people of the state were strongly behind Tinubu’s presidential aspirations and would vote en masse for the APC in the general elections in 2023. Folarin confirmed that Are’s prediction of 95% support for Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election will be realized in the state.
The congressman stated that he has enlisted over 100,000 members to mobilize support for Tinubu and other party candidates throughout the state’s 6,390 voting units.
The governorship contender also stated that the party has established a presidential and governorship council of 3,333 APC members organized into 41 committees that were already working around the clock in preparation for the next general elections.
According to him, the committees are presently being replicated in all 33 local government areas and 351 wards across the state. The lawmaker said that the state was not leaving any stone unturned in its determination to win big for Tinubu, Kashim Shettima and other APC candidates.
