Tragedy occurred again amid heavy rainfall when a three-storey building on Oyesonuga Street, Palm Avenue, off Oye Roundabout, Isolo Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, suddenly collapsed on Friday, killing yet-to-be-identified persons, while two were rescued.
The incident, according to an eyewitness, happened around midday amid a rainstorm.
However, men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, and Lagos State Rescue and Fire Service, Nigeria Police, among others, raced to the scene on a rescue victims mission.
According to Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyitolu,
further investigation revealed that the collapsed building was an adjoining building to another three-storey building.

Oke-Osanyitolu stated:
Two people who were trapped inside the building were rescued and treated. However, we were informed two females that are occupant of the building are still missing as of press time, 2pm.
However, there are visible cracks on the remaining standing building that needs urgent attention.
Also, search and rescue operations were still ongoing as of 2 pm by the rescue team, while the building has been cordoned off and people evacuated
According to an eyewitness, Mr Tunde Ariyo, “an adult and a child have been rescued alive, three persons are still missing in the rubble and they could be dead by now.”
Sympathisers and first aid workers rescued the survivors before the arrival of emergency responders.
Barely one-month ago, six bodies were recovered under the rubble of a seven-storey building that collapsed at Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lekki area of Lagos.
The state authorities are yet to identify and arrest the developer and others
