The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the ongoing Ekiti governorship election has won his polling unit in Ifaki Ekiti.
Mr Oni scored 218 out of the 244 votes cast at Unit 6 Ward 4, Ogbon Iro in Ifaki Ekiti, where he voted alongside his wife in the early hours of today.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, got 15 votes while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bisi Kolawole, got just three votes.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing Ekiti governorship election, Bisi Kolawole, also won in his polling.
Mr Kolawole, who voted at polling unit 01, ward 8, in Efon Local Government Area of the state, scored 98 votes to beat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Oyebanji, who garnered 13 votes.
Following in a distant third place was the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Segun Oni, who polled two votes out of the 116 accredited voters at the polling units.
Mr Kolawole, had earlier boasted that he would win the ongoing governorship election exercise, stating that Ekiti residents were in dire need of a change.
Elsewhere, Biodun Oyebanji of the APC won his polling unit by a landslide.
Oyebanji secured 296 votes in polling unit 003, ward 06, Ikogosi, Ekiti West LGA.
Bisi Kolawole, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), secured just one vote while Segun Oni, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) flagbearer, polled zero.
The election results came amidst widespread reports of vote-buying, with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arresting offenders from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
