The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, and the ministry have been thrown into mourning as the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Aviation, Ibrahim Idris, is dead.
Although the Federal Ministry of Aviation did not disclose the cause of his demise, it announced on Monday morning that Idris died on Sunday night.
The ministry stated in a tweeted:
Innalillahi Wa inna ilahi Rajuun, with total submission to the will of Allah, we announce the death of Dr. Ibrahim Idris Chief of Staff to the Hon. Minister Hadi Sirika last night.
A hardworking, godly and simple (man). May Allah forgive him and grant him the highest rank in Jannah.

Meanwhile, a broken Sirika, in a short tribute to his departed CoS, also described Idris as a “honest, trustworthy, simple, warm godly” man.
The minister who also expressed his thought via Twitter, stated:
Dr Ibrahim Idris (aka Alhaji Dr), honest, trustworthy, simple, warm & Godly. You lived to define how best to relate with people & serve Allah without show. May Allah the Merciful grant you Firdaus & grant us same when we come. We are all on the same journey, Sai mun zo Wali.

The late Idris is expected to be buried later today in accordance to Islamic rites.
