Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has tested positive for the dreaded Coronavirus.
The singer, formerly a member of the defunct music group, P-Square, announced the development on his Instagram, noting that he has been under medical treatment for the condition since the last ten (10) days
In his post, Rudeboy, describing his frustration said:
Covid is REAL!!! I know as typical Nigerian or African is very hard to believe some will say “experience is the best teacher oh well , the experience and the teacher has visited me and they’ve been dealing with me for more than 10days now sh*t is not funny ….. worst sickness ever!!! …… y’all better be careful out there if you like believe me , if you like don’t believe me you can as well wait for your own experience by playing ignorance. Goodluck. God help us all.

In July 2020, reports emerged on how Rude Boy’s brother, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, narrated his ordeal, as he and his family recovered from the infection.
According to Peter, he had COVID-19 for about three weeks.
This development is coming as Nigeria, on Monday, recorded 1,204 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections to 91,351.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC)Â made this known via its verified website. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)Â Â reports that Nigeria recorded 1,145 cases on Dec. 18, 2020.
The centre also announced seven deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,318. It stated that three of the deaths occurred in Lagos, two in Sokoto, while Kebbi and Abia recorded one fatality each.
