Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, has come under fire on social media over the alleged abuse of an 11-year-old pupil of Deeper Life High School in Akwa Ibom State.
Recall that a parent, Deborah Okezie, whose son is a junior secondary school one (JSS 1) student, had in a Facebook video alleged that her son, Don Davis, was starved, as well as molested by some senior pupils of the school.
The school management has, however, suspended the principal, Solomon Ndidi, to allow seamless investigation while the Akwa Ibom State Government has also waded in.
Meanwhile, Nigerians on Twitter on Monday called for action from Kumuyi, urging him to address the matter personally in the light of the church’s reputation.
While seeking justice for the Don Davis, they also called for a stop to the intimidation and harassment of the victims family who, following the development, are going through a tough time.

Let's not get too distracted by Burna, Wizkid and Davido's saga in Ghana….
Pastor Kumuyi needs to do something, we can't afford to let this one slide …
I learnt that Don David is being threatened by the school.#JusticeForDonDavis— KINGSTON of Abuja (@Kingston_eze) December 28, 2020
It HAS a lot with Him, the Church and Denomination and whatever English is left to be used!!! Let's face things squarely and stop being judgmental. He weighing in on the matter has a long way to go in bringing the perpetrators of the evil acts to book.
