In a recent announcement by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) in Abuja, a group of distinguished legal professionals, including Dr. Kayode Ajulo, a renowned constitutional lawyer, have made the prestigious shortlist for consideration for the esteemed rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
The list, comprising 69 highly accomplished individuals, was unveiled by the LPPC on a Thursday.
Among the prominent figures making the cut are Funmi Falana, wife of Femi Falana (SAN), and Folashade Alli, the daughter of Chief Afe Babalola (SAN). Additionally, Abiola Oyebanji and Bomo Agbebi, along with Daniel Uruakpa, Felix Offia, Lawrence Falade, and Kingsley Obamogie, have earned their places on this exclusive list.
The LPPC stated, “The LPPC by this notice announced the shortlisting of Applicants who qualified after the Advocates 1st and 2nd Filtration Stages, Academic pre-qualification, and Academic 2nd Filtration Exercise.”
Applicants who met the rigorous criteria set by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee were evaluated and categorized under two distinct groups: Advocates and Academic Applicants.

Dr. Kayode Ajulo, a well-known legal expert and advocate, has distinguished himself in various facets of law, including litigation, constitutional law, corporate and commercial law, and human rights. His legal journey began with the attainment of his first law degree from the University of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria. Subsequently, he pursued further education at various prestigious international institutions.
Presently, Dr. Ajulo serves as a research scholar at Lincoln University College and generously shares his expertise as an adjunct lecturer at several universities, including Adekunle Ajasin University in Ondo State.
Dr. Ajulo’s exceptional contributions to the field of law have not gone unnoticed, earning him a plethora of awards and honors, including the distinguished Officer of the Order of the Niger, a recognition bestowed upon him by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
