THE Balogun family of Ijebu-Ode has publicly confirmed the passing of their patriarch, Otunba Michael Olasubomi Balogun, to the hereafter.
According to a statement issued on behalf of the family by Messrs Bolaji and Jide Balogun, the late banker and lawyer died in London on Thursday, May 18, contrary to popular belief that he died on Friday, May 19.
To pay tribute and offer condolences, books of condolence will be available for signing from 11 am on Monday, May 23, 2023, at his residences in Lagos and Ijebu Ode. Additionally, condolence books will be accessible at various FCMB branches, including FCMB Group Headquarters in Lagos, Primrose Tower on Tinubu Street, Founders Place on Sanusi Fafunwa Street in Victoria Island, and First City Plaza on Herbert Macaulay Way in Abuja.

Chapel Hill Denham, located at 10 Bankole Oki Street in Ikoyi, Lagos, will also provide an opportunity to express condolences.
For those unable to visit in person, an online condolence register has been set up at www.olasubomibalogun.com, where heartfelt messages can be shared.
Details regarding the Celebration of his Life will be announced in due course, providing an occasion for family members, friends, and well-wishers to honor the extraordinary journey of Otunba Balogun.
