It was a beautiful day on Saturday, April 15, 2023, and the sun shined brightly. The air was filled with excitement as family and friends gathered to celebrate the 50th birthday of Reverend Doctor Olurotimi Adebowale Taiwo, a beloved and respected member of the community.
The venue for the party was a beautifully decorated hall, with balloons, streamers, and banners adorning the walls. The guests arrived in their finest attire, and the atmosphere was lively and cheerful.
As the party got underway, the guests were treated to a delicious spread of food and drinks, and both a Disc Jockey (DJ), and live band, were on hand to provide the music. Hosted by Nollywood veteran actor, Jude Chukwuka, the event had speeches and toasts to honour the milestone birthday of the highly-revered man, and everyone shared stories and memories of his impact on their lives.
One of the highlights of the evening was the decoration of Dr. Taiwo as part of the leadership of Lagos State Council of Scout Association of Nigeria, and the performance of the celebrant’s new album. The reverend himself treated his guests to spirit-filled songs of the body of work.
Another special moment was when the cleric danced with his family during the live band performance.
As the night wore on, the guests continued to enjoy the festivities, dancing, laughing, and reminiscing. It was a joyful and memorable occasion, a true testament to the impact and influence that he had on the lives of those around him.

“My husband (the celebrant) is really a nice and compassionate person. Even though we fight a lot, he puts his family first and makes our happiness his priority. He’s someone that loves and fears God, and I admire that about him,” the celebrant’s wife, Mrs. Taiwo said, as she wished her husband a long life and prosperity during the event.
Echoing her admiration for Taiwo, Mr Femi Thomas described the celebrant as a complete gentleman, who has made everyone around him proud.
Thomas added, “The show of love my brother is getting today is the least of what he deserves. I like the fact that he’s intentional and genuine. Above all, he cares equally for everyone. I pray God keeps him for us. Happy birthday to him.”
Also speaking about the celebrant, one of his siblings, Miss Olayide Taiwo, noted that he’s a lovable and respectful person.
Her words: “We shared a lot of awesome memories while growing up, and even now that we are grownups, we still play together like children. I love him so much and I’m glad that his golden age is a milestone. I wish him the best, and I look forward to celebrating him more in the future.”
As the party drew to a close, the celebrant expressed his gratitude to everyone for making his 50th birthday such a special and unforgettable occasion. It was a celebration that would be remembered for years to come, a fitting tribute to a man who had dedicated his life to serving others and making a difference in the world.
