The National Union of Air Transport Employees and the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria have called off their strike, which began today, Monday, January 23, 2023.
On Monday afternoon, Frances Akinjole, Deputy General Secretary of ATSSSAN, confirmed this to Punch over the phone.
“It’s been stopped, and they’ve agreed to begin pay negotiations with us,” he stated.
Recall that foreign flights at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos were grounded on Monday due to a strike by employees of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc.
