The University of Lagos Alunmi Association has just elected Hon. Adedeji Owoeye (Ovo) as chairman of its association in its Lagos branch. This action was followed after the body had its election held for the post and other elective offices.
Hon. Adedeji Owoeye who is a philanthropist, is a graduate of the University of Lagos where he studied political science thereafter, he advanced his educational qualifications in various fields of study. He graduated with several distinctions in the year 2000, MPA in 2013, and MILD in 2016 both in Unilag, MSC Social work in Ladoke Akintola University in 2015. He is a strong committed member of the Homopoliticus 98 Set.
Hon. Owoeye, a political titan, gave his acceptance speech at his inauguration ceremony after the election, he said “I am falling short of words to express my emotions and gratitude for the opportunity I have received to be the Chairman of the Alumni of this noble institution in the state of Excellence , Lagos State”.
“I extend my sincere thanks to my family, friends, and loyal supporters who inculcated such capabilities in me that I felt confident to be able to throw my hat in the ring to contest the position of the Chairman of the Alumni of the University of Lagos Alumni in the state of Excellence, Lagos State”.
“I also thank all the people who trusted me and put their faith in me. To my colleagues in the Executive, I want to say: “A team is like a toolset; not one tool can do all the jobs, but together it can, so let’s join our hands together to work with team spirit in the day-to-day functioning of our Association and for the well-being of our people, the past students, the present and those who will pass through this great citadel of learning”.
“Let’s take our institution to greater heights of success. You have indicated your faith in me with your vote, and I plan to honor it. With your votes, you have all encouraged me. Thank you for having faith in me and voting for me for this important job”.

“You’ve shown me that you believe in my capabilities to take our institution and Association to greater heights by casting your vote. I hope I can live up to your expectations and assist you all in reaching this level”.

The University of Lagos Alumni Association congratulated him on his achievement, and also invited the Vice Chancellor of the University Of Lagos, Akoka, Professor Afolashade Ogunsola who also gave him her congratulatory remarks.
The University Of Lagos Alumni Association said “A hearty congratulations to our Own Deji Owoeye (OVO), who has been just been elected the President Unilag Alumni Association (Lagos Chapter) We thank God for this victory and hope his tenure will bring greater successes to our group in particular and University of Lagos in general.
