When Atiku ran for president in 2007 under the banner of the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Tinubu requested him to return the favour by endorsing him.
On Monday, Tinubu participated in an interactive session with leaders from the country’s north while gathering under the auspices of the Arewa Joint Committee.
In advance of the general elections in 2023, the meeting was a part of a larger interaction with a few presidential hopefuls.
Two days after his PDP competitor had similar conversations with the northern leaders, the APC presidential candidate made an appearance.
The interactive session held at the Arewa House in Kaduna was organised by a coalition of six groups from the North including the Arewa Consultative Forum, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation,, Northern Elders Forum, Jamar Matan Arewa among others.
