The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has designated Senator Dino Melaye, and Dr Daniel Bwala to serve as his spokespersons for the 2023 presidential campaign.
Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser to the presidential candidate, in a statement on Thursday said the two nominations are to take effect without delay.
Atiku has also nominated Ms Lynne Bassey as Special Assistant on Gender Issues and Women Advancement, whose nomination took effect from August 1.
On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the former vice-president added three media aides to his campaign team, namely: Eta Uso, Abdulrashhed Shehu and Demola Olanrewaju.

Bwala, a former chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC who joined the PDP last week, is a legal luminary, politician and public affairs commentator born in Adamawa State.
This comes as the highest advisory organ of the PDP, the Board of Trustees, is presently holding a meeting at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting aims to fine-tune ways to end the bickering between Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, resulting from Atiku’s choice of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as running mate.
The meeting is holding under the chairmanship of the party’s advisory organ, Walid Jibrin.
Jibrin had announced that in today’s meeting, the panel will recommend how constituted members of a reconciliation committee will meet with the Rivers State Governor in a pacification move.
At the end of the gathering, the BOT leader would be anticipated to brief the media on the outcome of the meeting in a few hours today.
