The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has visited Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in France, according to Joe Igbokwe, a special adviser to the governor of Lagos on drainage and water resources and a chieftain of the APC.
Tinubu had arrived in the European nation of France on Monday.
Igbokwe claimed in a post on his Facebook page that Wike, a former candidate for president of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had visited Tinubu in France but he did not state the outcome of their meeting.

Igbokwe, who is a former spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State wrote:
While they are on social media abusing everybody, Governor Wike goes to France to meet Asiwaju.
Abuse, calling names, hate, and bigotry are no strategy. They hated and abused PMB (President Muhammadu Buhari) since 2015 and now they have transferred the aggression to Asiwaju. We wait and see.
After meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in private at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu left the country shortly thereafter.
Uncertain of his next political move, Wike announced on Tuesday that he and his Abia counterpart, Okezie Ikpeazu, were taking a “much-needed vacation” in Turkey.
Following the outcome of the PDP’s presidential primary and Atiku Abubakar’s failure to select him as his running mate for the general elections in 2023, there are rumours that Wike may leave the party.
Recall that other bigwigs of the PDP, including Ayodele Fayose and Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, spoke against Atiku’s choice of vice-presidential candidate after the former VP settled for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State instead of Wike.
