Reps Member Seeks Removal, Prosecution Of Emefiele For Alleged Violation Of CBN Act
A member of the House of Representatives, Sergius Ose Ogun, has called for the removal and prosecution of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, for allegedly violating the provisions of the CBN Act 2007.
Ogun who made the call during plenary on Wednesday noted that the total borrowings of the Federal Government of Nigeria from the CBN in the past six years have been in flagrant breach of Section 38 of the CBN Act, 2007;
APC Primary: No Attempt By Buhari To Impose Successor – Presidency
Garba Shehu, media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has said that the president refused to act as an “elected autocrat” before and during the All Progressives Congress’ presidential primary that saw the emergency of Ex-Governor, Bola Tinubu, as the party’s flag bearer.
Shehu stated that President Buhari refused to openly endorse a presidential aspirant though he tried to cajole APC governors into accepting his request for “reciprocity” to name his own successor, noting that northern governors, particularly, did not oblige him.
Okowa Gets Delta Assembly’s Approval For Another After Initially Borrowing N150 Billion
Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has gotten yet another approval from the state House of Assembly for a N25 billion loan, few months to the end of his tenure.
The approval was given despite the outrage that greeted his decision in April to obtain N150 billion loan.
FG Promoting Women Inclusion In Oil, Gas Industry – Sylva
The minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, says the Federal Government has been deliberately implementing gender-friendly policies that will promote women inclusion in the oil and gas industry.

National Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have opposed the idea of fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election.

Gov. David Umahi on Monday said that Ebonyi people would massively vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and not Labour or any other party.
Umahi, apparently reacting to the growing popularity of the Labour Party and its Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi in the South-East zone, made the declaration while swearing-in five new commissioners.
