President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service to disallow foreigners from usurping jobs from Nigerians.
The Comptroller-General of the Service, Mohammed Babandede, disclosed this to the press after he briefed President Buhari on Chinese ventures into retail businesses in Nigerian markets.
He warned that citizens, who had been colluding and protecting foreigners indulging in illegal activities, would be prosecuted if caught.
The Comptroller-General urged Nigerians to be more patriotic in protecting the economy, which in turn ensures security for all.
He said President Buhari had given the Service a matching order to deploy legal strength in the protection of the borders and business of the wellbeing of the citizenry.
The C-G also gave an assurance that the Service would do its utmost to keep Nigeria safer through effective border management and control, and after-entry control to ensure effective control of the country’s territory.
