Former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, is set to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
A former lawmaker, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, made the disclosure to newsmen over the weekend.
Senator Anyanwu, in his statement, revealed that has stated that several APC members in Imo State House of Assembly have begun talks to join the PDP.
Anyanwu stated:
If national and state legislators are privately negotiating for a comeback into the PDP, those who are currently members should regard their membership as a privilege to remain loyal and faithful to party rules.

Okorocha has struggle for his political life following the internal strife that has engulfed the APC in Imo State over the last year.
The former Governor and senator representing the Imo West Senatorial Zone, went on to build a parallel Party structure led by Dan Nwafor, which the party’s national leadership deemed unconstitutional and void.
Okorocha, who told reporters last week that he was unable to register for the APC’s enormous revalidation drive, has been accused of anti-party activities, one of which is the attempt to destabilize the party prior to his switch to the PDP.
The move by Okorocha is coming in the wake of several defections across the APC and the PDP as the 2023 elections draw closer.
Also, the social media was recently flooded by news of Okorocha planning to contest the 2023 presidential election, with Nigerians in some quarters already endorsing him.
