Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika has hinted that the national carrier will commence operations next year.
He stated this in Abuja while briefing State House correspondents on the achievements of the ministry assured Nigerians that efforts were in place to make air transportation more affordable through an improvement of facilities and services.

Sen. Sirika also said plans were underway to establish an Aerospace University which would boost aviation activities as well as produce the needed manpower in the sector.
He explained that the university which would be rooted in research and development will create more opportunities within the sector, noting that civil aviation alone can sustain the country’s economy.
The Minister further stated that the government would soon introduce a policy to regulate the use of drones in the country to avoid mid-air accidents.
