A train has collided with a truck loaded with animal feed at the Jonathan Coker Railway Level Crossing in the Fagba Area of Iju Ishaga, Lagos State, on Monday.
The accident occurred around 8.52 am.
However, law enforcement agents are currently on the ground attending to the accident which has led to vehicular traffic in the area with motorists advised to seek alternative routes.
As of the time of filing this report, no casualty has been ascertained.
This development is coming about four years after a similar occurrence left four persons dead at the same axis.
According to investigation conducted by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s (LASEMA), in 2017, it was revealed that a truck, with registration No.MYM 63 XA, was trying to make a U-turn on the railway track when it collided with an oncoming train.

The then-General Manager of LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, confirmed that four male adults who were said to be hanging on the moving train were confirmed dead, while others sustained injuries.
He was quoted to have stated at the time:
Those injured were attended to by the Lagos State Ambulance Service and the deceased were taken away to the mortuary.
Tiamiyu said that proper investigation would be conducted on the incidents to forestall future occurrences while advising motorist to adhere to road safety rules and while people who were in the habits of hanging on moving train/vehicles should desist from such act to avoid re-occurrence of the unfortunate incidents.
