Ex-Nigerian football player, Peter Odemwingie and A-list singer, Peter Okoye have clashed on social media.
The striker, Odemwingie, started the war of words when he took to his Instagram story to accuse Peter Okoye of robbing people.
The former Nigerian footballer wrote, “@peterpsquare you are robbing people in broad daylight with that your nonsense business and now you want to take even Christmas from them? You no dey fear God at all?”
In his reaction, Okoye through a post on his story called on his followers to pray for the footballer, stating that ‘all is definitely not well with him.’
In a direct message he sent to Odemwingie, Okoye wrote, “Bro I tried to ignore, but I am so disappointed in you! If you are now close to God does not make you feel others are close to the devil! I own a registered and licensed lottery platform just like every other individual does both here and abroad. But coming to spill this rubbish just because you feel you are now closer to God! Bro my music never brought you close to this your God in particular! Bro you have been Brainwashed Period! You look sick and you need help? Learn to mind your business and focus on that your God and your life! DISAPPOINTED.”
However, when PUNCH placed a call to Peter Okoye, his personal assistant, Charles Abi, said his boss was unavailable, adding that the correspondent “cannot call back because he (Peter Okoye) is not going to be here. He travelled; he is not in town and I am off till next year.”
