Suspected hoodlums have set fire to Television Continental, aka TVC, at Ketu, Lagos, as a popular talkshow programme, Your View, was on.
The programme host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, who said the hoodlums entered in a van, asked to go on a commercial break and the station had since then been stuck.
Meanwhile, videos online confirmed by workers at the station said the assailants set fire to the station over its connection to Bola Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State.
Temper rose when soldiers besieged the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday night and opened fire on protesters, with eyewitnesses claiming that seven people were confirmed dead and many injured.
The incident has been greeted with outrage all over the world.
The fire incident at TVC is coming just hours after persons believed to be hoodlums set the Oyingbo Terminal Bus on Lagos Mainland on fire.
Reports suggest that there were over 20 buses in the terminal as at the time it was set on ablaze.
It was further gathered the hoodlums were protesting killing of two of their members by the police.
The police, on Wednesday, were caught on camera firing live rounds at unarmed civilians in Yaba area of Lagos State.
Several persons have been confirmed injured from the shooting, just as Nigerians predict that tension in Nigeria’s commercial capital will rise to its highest in recent times.
