Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won his re-election bid in the state’s just-concluded election.
As announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Akeredolu won his re-election having polled the highest number of votes.
Akeredolu polled a total of 292,839 votes, while Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) garnered 19,3585 votes, leaving a margin of 99,254. Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) came a distant third with 60,051 votes.
