Life is full of trials. We are in a period where there is economic hardship, businesses are folding up, marriages are crashing, unemployment rate is alarming, some have lost their loved ones, due to the corona virus pandemic. A lot of people have given up on life, some are contemplating suicide.
Beloved, irrespective of your trials, I have a good news for you and this good news is in the book of Job 14:7.
“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease”.
God is telling you that there is hope. You might have been ridiculed, betrayed, bereaved, forgotten, sacked, lonely, heavily burdened, divorced, God says there’s hope
Hope, according to this scripture, (Job 14:7), means FUTURE.
Beloved, God is asking you to stop brooding over your present situation, he is asking you to set your eyes to see the glorious future that God has designed for you. (Jer. 29:11).
Your hope is no longer in the past or in the present, it is in the future. You must redirect your focus towards the future to see what God has for you. You are only going through a process that will lead to your success. You must learn to endure unbearable pains in order to enjoy sustainable success. (Romans 8:18). Remember Joseph, (Gen. 45:5-8), he was sold as a slave, lied against and imprisoned. His focus was not on all who made him suffer but on fulfilling God’s purpose. Pains are meant to birth purpose. If you learn from what you are going through, your breakthrough will be an easy ride.
REASONS YOU MUST HAVE HOPE.
- God created you for a purpose. Jer. 1:5
- God is transforming you, through your travails. Isa. 48:10
- God is always with you in the midst of your crisis. Isa. 43:2
- God will not disappoint you. Prov. 23:18, Isa. 54:4.
- God will surely restore all that you have lost. Ps. 126:1-6, Joel 2:25.
HOW TO FIND HOPE IN THE MIDST OF TRAVAILS?
- Come to Jesus Christ. Matt. 11:28-30
If you come to him, he will offload the heavy burden on you and give you total rest and peace of mind.
- Put your hope in the word of God. Psalm 119:81.
Stop relying on the word of men, rather, put your mind on the word of God.
- You must possess the spirit of hope. Rom. 15:13
Without the power of the Holy Ghost, your heart will fail, your eyes will grow dim and you may fall when the storms of life rise.
- Don’t stop praying. I Thes.5:6
