Following the ravaging effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on several businesses and sectors, the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church has announced its readiness to train small and medium scale business owners on how to reposition their businesses in the new normal.
The Convener and Chairman, Lagos State Youth Fellowship, Mr Muyiwa Odedina, on Tuesday, revealed that the training; a business hangout, scheduled for August 29, 2020, would to position business owners for the post-COVID-19 era.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Odedina stated that the training would hold at the C&S Church of Christ, The Worshippers, Iponri, Lagos State.
He said:
With the whole world seemingly consumed by the current crisis of Coronavirus pandemic, it may be difficult to see further than the basic actions needed to ensure business continuity.
However, businesses should look beyond that and consider how to use the current pandemic to find new relevance, not only during uncertain times, but to prepare for the future.
Businesses, both small and medium scale, remain a key component of any economy. More recently, the new word in the business circle is “leverage.”
More particularly in a church such as the “C&S, there is the need for us to leverage and create a networking system for businesses and business owners.
The birth of the business hangout, according to Odedina followed the desire of the movement to create an atmosphere of warmth for business owners.
He further stated:
This is a special training and networking event aimed at creating a real life experience sharing session with business owners in the C&S fold.
This is to create a platform for business owners, entrepreneurs, policy makers and business enthusiasts to network and leverage.
Also to open the minds of participants to investment and business opportunities that exist or that can be transposed.
It is also to create opportunities for business owners and entrepreneurs to learn and get exposed to new business models and business ideas.
