Alhaji Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary to Taraba Governor, Darius Ishaku, has been sacked on Saturday and replaced with his deputy, Iliya Beckyu.
His revomal may have been as a result of an alleged abuse of protocol during the wedding fatiha of his daughter in Jalingo.
Ishaku represented by his deputy, Alhaji Hassan Manu, alongside other dignitaries, had arrived the private residence of the sacked Chief Press Secretary about two minutes earlier for the reception scheduled for 10 AM.
It was learnt that instead of starting the event promptly, certain forces decided that the congregation, which included important Islamic clerics, must wait for arrival of Minister of Power, Alhaji Saleh Maman, scheduled to attend the fatiha.
Reports further said that the Deputy Governor and other important dignitaries waited for over 30 minutes before arrival of the Minister and his entourage.

Immediately after the reception, sources explained that the Deputy Governor and his entourage reportedly left the venue of the occasion in anger and unceremoniously.
Mijinyawa’s sack was, however, announced two hours after they left, with many believing the abuse of official protocol at the fatiha may have been responsible for it.
Debunking reports that Mijinyawa’s removal was connected with abuse of protocol, Bala Abu, the Senior Special Assistant to Ishaku on Media and Publicity disclosed that the sack was purely administrative.
Abu stated:
“As it is, you know the press statement that announced his removal was from the office of the head of service of the state. That means his removal may be purely administrative.
