His Grace Pro. Dr. E. B. Alder, Jp the revered Primate & Spiritual Head, C&S Church of Christ “THE WORSHIPPERS” was called home on 4th May, 2020 and was buried on 21st May, 2020.
Sequel to the vacuum created by his demise, the Council of Elders of the Church at its meeting on 26th June, 2020, through divine inspiration, appointed General Superintendent Apostle Ethiopia Aiyenumelo OMOSHEHIN as the new Primate & Spiritual Head of the Church.
In the same vein, Most Senior Superintendent Apostle Johnson Koledola KUNLIPE was appointed as the Deputy Primate and Chairman, General Executive Council of the Church.
The new Primate & Spiritual Head of Church, His Grace Ethiopia Aiyenumelo Omoshehin was born on 10th August, 1936 in the town of Mogbojuri in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State, into the family of Pa Bartholomew Omoshehin; a Superintendent Apostle of the Cherubim and Seraphim Society.
Prior to his appointment as the Primate & Spiritual Head, he served as Deputy Primate and Chairman, General Executive Council of the Church. He is a founding member of the C & S Church of Christ The Worshippers.
In his early life, young Ethiopia studied at Saviours High School, moved to Oriwu College before completing his education at the Lagos City College, Yaba, Lagos, in June 1956.
He worked with Kingsway Stores Limited, Lagos in 1956. Four years after, he joined the Bank of the North where he worked as a Clerk.
As an eminent and veteran banker, he rose steadily through the ranks to become Deputy General Manager (Training and Development), during which he attended numerous management courses and gained several professional qualifications within and outside the country with one of them being an Intermediate Certificate from the Association of International Accountants. He served the Bank for 33 years before his retirement on 31st December, 1993.
On a larger note, in 1996, he became the first Chairman, Building Committee of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria where he served for 15 years. During his tenure, the Church acquired and commenced development on the 28.43 acres of land at Kilometre 40 on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
He is a true visionary and remarkable leader. He received several awards including one in recognition of Astute Leadership and Contribution to the Growth and Development of the C & S Unification Church and another, in recognition of his Meritorious Service.
A motivator, facilitator, encourager and orator, he is a man with hands on approach to everything he does, always wants to be involved and always wants to lead from the front. This is the attitude that
contributed immensely to the growth of the C & S Unification Church.
He is progressive, cares for, and looks out for the welfare of everyone around him. He is a father to all and one who believes in the tenets of continuous improvement.
On 16th July, 1959, he got married to Special Apostolic Mother Patience Simisola Omoshehin (nee Roberts) and the union is blessed with children and grandchildren.
The new Deputy Primate and Chairman, General Executive Council, Most Senior Superintendent Apostle Johnson Koledola Kunlipe was born on 3rd March, 1938 in Ondo, Ondo State. He had his elementary schooling in Ondo and secondary school education in Offa Grammar School, Offa from 1954 to 1958.
In 1962, he was admitted to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka for a B.Sc.(Hons.) Accounting course and graduated in 1966 with a Second Class Honours degree.
Johnson Koledola Kunlipe began his working career at Mobil Oil Nigeria Limited (now Mobil Oil Plc) in 1966 as Accounting Trainee and rose to Executive status with the Company till he retired in 1991.
He got married in 1968 to Special Apostolic Mother Betty Kunlipe, and is blessed with glorious children and grandchildren. He is a devoted family man and of transparent loyalty.
He joined the Cherubim and Seraphim Society in 1967. He was one of the founding fathers of C&S Church of Christ The Worshippers in 1975 and has been a member of the Council of Elders since the founding date in 1975. He is known as “Lord Bishop” in The Worshippers. He loves writing and has to his credit many religious books and he is also the Editor of the Annual Devotional Calendar of the Church.
The Church prays for a successful tenure for the appointees as they steer the ship of the Church according to will of God Almighty.
