Afrobeat musician, Lagbaja, has clarified that May 19 is not his birthday. Nigerians took to their social media pages to wish popular afrobeat musician a happy birthday.
According to Qed.ng, Lagbaja made the clarification on Tuesday in a text message sent to the publisher.
Reacting to birthday greetings sent to him on social media, the musician wrote: “No mind dem jare. Na fake birthday news o…”
The ‘Konko Below’ crooner had earlier received birthday messages from prominent personalities including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
Many fans also took to social media to send goodwill messages to him with #Lagbajaat60 trending on Twitter.
Lagbaja the musician insists he does not have a birthday.
Bisade Ologunde, the man behind the mask, was however born in April 1960.
