There are growing concerns among Nigerians, as the novel coronavirus hit Aso Rock.
Following the positive status of Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians have been expressing their worries over the health condition of the president, and other high-profiled persons who may have had contact with Kyari.
In a surprising turn of event after Kyari was diagnosed of the infectious disease, Buhari who was believed to have had contact with his Chief of Staff when he returned to Nigeria from Germany, tested negative to the virus.
Having tested negative, the president is now rumoured to be sick, as controversial media personality, Kemi Olunloyo disclosed in a tweet that “Buhari is very sick with persistent coughing”.
Olunloyo tweeted;
“#BREAKING UPDATE is that Prez @MBuhari is very sick with persistent coughing. A ventilator has been brought in from a hospital to set up a makeshift ICU to treat our Commander-in-Chief. He had contact with his Chief of staff Mr Kyari who tested positive for CORONAVIRUS #COVID19”
It is however unclear if the president is truly sick, as his media aides are yet to confirm or deny the development.
Meanwhile, since Nigeria recorded the first case of the coronavirus pandemic in late February, 2020, a total of 46 cases across the country have been confirmed.
