The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Sunday said five new cases of Coronavirus (COVID19), have been confirmed in Nigeria; taking the total confirmed cases to 27

The NCDC said this in a tweet without giving further details but assured on its commitment to working with the Lagos State Ministry of Health in the fight against the pandemic.
According to reports, the cases in Lagos State and have travel history to high-risk countries in the last seven days, NCDC said on its official Twitter account, in the early hours of Sunday.
The tweet stated: “Three new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in #Nigeria As at 06:45 am on the 22nd of March, there are 25 confirmed cases of #COVID19 recorded in Nigeria Of the 25 confirmed cases, 2 have been discharged, with no death.
“All 3 cases were reported in Lagos State, & have travel history to high-risk countries in the last 7 days.
We’re working closely with @LSMOH to identify & follow up with contacts If you‘ve returned to Nigeria from any country in the last 14 days, please stay in self-isolation.
Meanwhile, new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Abuja, implying that Abuja now has four cases of COVID-19.
The latest COVID-19 case brings the total number so far announced on Sunday to five- three in Lagos, one in Abuja and one in Oyo state.
The health agency, on its twitter handle @NCDCgov, stated: “one new case of Covid-19 has been confirmed in FCT, Nigeria.
It added: “As at 11:00 am on the 22nd of March, there are 27 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria.”
Of the 27 confirmed cases, two have been discharged while no death has occurred from the disease.
In the meantime, a breakdown, however, shows that Lagos has the highest number of confirmed cases in the country.
